Custom Drapery Hardware

An Introduction To What Custom Drapery Hardware Is All About

Custom Drapery Hardware

Most people look at drapery as an end to a mean. They’re there for decorative purposes: as part of the décor in a room; to match the paint or wallpaper of a room; and sometimes to hide unattractive spots on the wall. But drapery serves another purpose. They can also be a means to an end. Drapery is also there to frame the canvas which is the window: to help in drawing the eyes towards what is happening outside the room by looking out the window. And drapery, like frames, should match the canvas. That’s why we have custom drapery hardware which makes matching the drapery with the window so much easier.

Custom drapery hardware comes in different shapes and sizes (well, they are customized after all). They can come in wood, chrome, plastic or metal. Sometimes they’re expensive and other times they’re cheap. One thing is for sure, the amounts of choices available are limitless. And a good thing about them is that you can always find a store that will cater to your budget.

So what exactly does drapery hardware comprise of? Well, drapery, to begin with, is something which you usually see in windows, or any other place that has space, is pieces of cloth which are usually hung from the walls or the ceilings. They can be short or long, depending on certain factors. They serve the dual purpose of covering up something and at the same time being a form of decoration. Drapery usually come in linen, cotton, silk or cotton. That doesn’t mean of course that other materials are not used in making drapery. For its creation, a multitude of materials are made available. Drapery hardware is comprised of curtain rods, drapery rod brackets and curtain rings. Other drapery hardware which is available but not so important to the drapery set up is the curtain rod finials and end caps.

Brackets come in one inch, two inches and three inches varieties. For each size, there are a multiple of designs to choose from. The rods, rings and the finials also come in the one inch, two inches, and three inches variety. Not only does said hardware come in a multitude of designs but as stated earlier, the options for the materials used in making them are also almost limitless. The same goes for the design and color in which the customized drapery hardware can take.

So there you have it, custom drapery hardware. Innovation, creativity and competence combined. It’s because of them that the drapery hardware market is made all the more flexible and all the more available for everyone. The way drapery hardware has been customized today has taken on so many new innovations and creations that it has actually become quite hard to keep track of them. Nonetheless, this is a good thing because it has come to shown that the human potential for creation is limitless. Drapery by itself is already an art. But to be able to customize what is already an art is the beginning of the creation of a masterpiece.
